Beauty

Beauty

She is sought and cursed, mocked and loved. She magically attracts and elsewhere equally repels.

It is celebrated or punished. Admired or condemned.

The beauty of nature is spared from critics.

To be attracted to it may be. Beauty in humans or things is subject to other paradigms. To cultivate it or to be fascinated by it in the other person or product, can be condemned as superficiality.

The same people who cultivate joy in the beauty of nature can be those who exclude beauty in humans and things. Trying to ignore it as much as they can.

The sight of beauty triggers harmony in us. And harmony brings about peace.

This is what makes beauty so magnetic. This is why we love art.

My eye has enjoyed shapes, patterns and color constellations ever since I can remember. No matter whether I encountered the harmony of these shapes and colors in people, things or nature.

Once discovered, I can hardly avert my gaze. It reaches me deep peace, wonder and delight. And I kneel inwardly before God's and our creative power.

Turning away or even judging what I may see doesn't feel right.

I'd rather feast my eyes on it.

Every culture deals with the subject differently. That is also interesting to observe.

I thank everyone who reveals their beauty to me. And I see beauty where some perceive none.

The conscious perception of our outer sensory impressions does not exclude an intensive perception of inner sensibilities.

On the contrary. In fact, an interaction takes place.

Besides, our mind creates what we perceive.

To reject it, would be like cooking something for ourselves and then spurning it.

Beauty inspires.

Let beauty simply be beauty.
