Salvation through personality development?
by Isabel Ambrosia
Salvation through personality development?
Quasi through the refinement or readjustment of our socially conditioned masks? (Origin in Latin. Persona = mask).
By reinforcing the identification with a false self? For an even more successful adaptation to our sick societies?
Who believes in this, possibly loses a lot of money for various coaching measures. And possibly earns a lot of money afterwards, thanks to the more refined mastery of his masks.
However, achieving peace of mind, deep happiness, self-realization and self-fulfillment has absolutely nothing to do with personality development.
Unless the observer instance of consciousness has succeeded in placing the true SELF above the personality and bringing both instances into healthy harmony. (In Human Design shown by the overlapping red and black lines. The unconscious characteristics of the self are shown in black, the conscious ones of the personality in red. HD represents for me the most precise human theory of all that I know).
As long as the personality of a person wants or desires something, it ekes out its existence as a donkey in front of the carrot. The will suggests that after reaching the goal a satisfied state of happiness will occur. Although this satisfaction either never occurs or is not permanent, only the fewest people notice that they cheat themselves out of true happiness, only in order not to have to give up the pretense of what they apparently are and constitute. Of course, this is also mostly an unconscious process.
A person who is rooted in the self instead perceives the world more feelingly than thinkingly. He merges with it and dissolves polarities. He is at peace with his feelings and with the projections of his inner world to the outside. He is not in resistance with his feelings and thus not subject to restless thinking. (Thoughts serve among other things to suppress feelings).
The thinking of the self-aware person happens more intuitively. By relaxing into not-knowing, he feels what he needs to know. The powerful instance "life" supplies him with information and impulses in a magical way. Perception becomes knowledge. Interpretation becomes truth.
Theory so far, so good. But how do we reach this state that brings about real salvation? And how do we manage not to start an inner fight between the "false" and the "true" self?
If we try to suppress our so-called ego, it will run rampant and cause damage to our own body or other people in a subtle way.
This phenomenon can be observed enough in the spiritual scene. The spiritual "moral ego" is for me the nastiest. It is at the same time the most insidious and devastating for those it affects. For it feels wise, servant and exalted. Simply good. A "good" does not urgently need a "better", whereby transformation stagnates.
As long as the ego structures are recognized and attachments to them are released, they can be played with. The ego may co-exist, since it has been seen through. It may be lived out consciously, as long as it continues not to be taken seriously. If it is not taken seriously, it cannot produce suffering. It loses its power and only serves to achieve worldly goals or its own amusement. Like the pleasure of acting.
Existence intended the illusion of separation and thus the birth of the ego. Why, we do not know. To accept it is the first step towards peace.
In order to find the Self and remain at rest in it, we first need self-empowerment.
This we get, among other things, through the radical awareness of the fact that nothing but ourselves really exists. It is physically proven that nothing exists separately from each other. Everything is connected by vibration. Is One. But as soon as we perceive, an apparent separation takes place. Because perception can happen only, as long as on something is projected. But since there is no separation, our perceptions are nothing but the expression of our mind. The body is not self-motivated. It only reacts to the intentions of the mind. In the outside we perceive the expression of our inner life. So it is I who continuously (consciously and unconsciously) creates materializing and at the same time is embedded in a larger system of rules from which I am not separated and which works through me.
If I allow myself to feel this significance without displaying a perverse narcissism and without feeling guilty for ever having separated myself from God (original sin), the awareness of the self begins to be fun.
Self-empowerment and humility should be equally reflected in our being.
In fact, this is not a contradiction. In nondualism, there are no contradictions anyway.
Everything is subject to cause and effect and is interwoven in such a complex way that our minds cannot possibly penetrate. Letting go of all concepts about life is what allows us to truly arrive in life. If we want to perceive multidimensionally, we should make friends with letting go.
Conceptions are interpretations put before the truth and prevent the clear view of God's laws. To the clear feeling of the universal laws.
Not to perceive any more separation in the inner and outer life is the crowning of the realization. Let us not wage inner wars with ourselves, let us not wage wars with other people. If we put aside resistances and fears, love will appear. In the inside as in the outside.
Transfer of guilt, the projection into the outside was supposed to mitigate our inherited guilt. When consciousness began to perceive itself and subsequently realized that this creates suffering, it began to become susceptible to guilt. It created perception and since perception is a function of the body, it is a limitation of consciousness. This limitation is perceived as suffering. Guilt transference offers a remedy. As Homer Simpson once said, "There is no blame big enough that you can't put it on somebody else." This is exactly what the unconscious person tries to do all the time. Thus he confirms the illusions of his perceptions, however. And produces new suffering.
By using projection we deceive ourselves and lose valuable energy.
Next ingredient for the dissolution of suffering is therefore radical self-responsibility.
The feeling of guilt and the transfer of guilt vibrate extremely low.
We are in fact radically responsible for EVERYTHING that happens outside in front of our lens. If we see hell, it reflects our own inner hell. Our ambiguity and confusion. Our emotions in need of transformation. Our subjective ideas about the world and our desires. Everything we see, our minds want to see. Whether we believe it or not. Understand it or not.
Our power of manifestation lies in our mind. That this is more powerful than matter has been scientifically proven.
Thus, if no one is to blame for our suffering except ourselves, it logically follows: Forgiveness.
In the work "A Course in Miracles" it says: "Forgive your brothers what they have not done." And forgive yourself in the same way!
Forgiveness as a means of reversal in thinking. To reverse the illusionary mechanisms that have led to suffering.
Forgiveness for detachment from suffering attachments.
We must also forgive the presence of unpleasant emotions. They are the phantom pains of separation consciousness. Instead of repressing or suppressing them, we can transcend and dissolve them by flooding them with consciousness and letting them be there. In the face of pure consciousness, they are exposed in their fleetingness and weakness. For this, there are several terrifically effective exercises that work wonders in seconds to a few minutes.
The succession of the explained processes of cognition bring about the true transformation that leads to the permanent absence of suffering and the ability to feel unconditional love.
Detecting the ego - letting go of the attachment to the ego and our concepts - acceptance of the ego - self-empowerment through awareness - radical self-responsibility - forgiveness - getting in touch with the true self (e.g. in the form of meditation or presence in every moment) and the conscious handling of unwanted emotions. This form of development, better yet self-realization, allows us to climb spheres that we did not think were possible, if they have not yet been experienced. Our consciousness is capable of much more than we already know. If the consciousness of separation dissolves, life feels like a single dance in new dimensions.
Back to the personality development mentioned at the beginning. To pimp our personality in order to achieve goals in the outside world, which are mostly given to us in order to feel more adapted, fulfilled and admired in this society, is a path that may seem like a shortcut to us. A path that may make us stay in our comfort zones. But it is a path with risky side effects and pre-programmed frustration. If, on the other hand, the term is understood and implemented in the form of de-evolution of the personality, thus de-evolving the confusions of the persona (mask), so that it is possible to advance to the self, the term is honored and the light at the end of the tunnel is truly recognized.
However, many coaching approaches do not penetrate to the core of the matter and bypass spiritual overarching themes. Like classical psychology, they confirm the matrix together with the illusionary personality and try to make the subject more adaptable to his environment. Symptom treatment or optimization.
The path of self-realization may be the more challenging work, but it is the path to awakening. Or of the conscious change into a beautiful dream. It is the path we cannot avoid either way. Not as long as perception persists in incarnational circles.
